Butter Biscuits

Yields: 24 Biscuits

Butter Biscuits

  • 3 c Flour
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 4 1/2 ts Baking Powder
  • 3/4 c Butter or margarine
  • 1 1/8 c Island Fresh milk
  1. Preheat electric oven to 450 F.
  2. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder into mixing bowl.
  3. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter.
  4. Add milk all at once and stir just until all flour is dampened.
  5. Drop batter by 2 tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
  6. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
  8. Makes 24 biscuits.
