Simple White Cake

Simple White Cake

Great to make with kids, especially as cupcakes. Very simple and easy.

  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 tsps baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour 9x9 pan or line muffin pan with paper liners.
  3. In medium bowl, cream togehter the sugar and butter.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Combine the flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  6. Finally stir in the milk until batter is smooth.
  7. Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in preheated oven.
  9. For cupcakes bake 20 to 25 minutes.
  10. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch..
